Building a new trail segment in the Western Plateau during the Annual Conejo Open Space Trailwork Day on October 15, 2016

Building a new segment of the bottom of the Peninsula Trail to replace a very steep section. At noon, the Rangers barbecued 'burgers and 'dogs for us to enjoy!
Other crews worked on two other trails, but we have no photos of that activity. You can read the report on our day's work for more info.

We're building a reroute to bypass the very steep bottom of the Peninsula Trail.

This trail will loop around the bottom of the Peninsula Ridge, making it longer and so not nearly as steep.

In some places the cross-slope was about twice as steep as it is here!
